Dear Visitor, Finally the clubhouse is finished, and after what seems like an age Henley has a world class home for its paddlers. Hooray! Is a home complete without the things that go inside? Its certainly true that hot showers and warmly heated rooms help the memory of cold temporary buildings fade away. However there are a few items (959 to be exact) that we need to make a Club House a Club Home. So now you can help to make a house a home? The little things like spoons and mugs that mean that you can have a hot drink when you come off the water. As well as food pots for bigger occasions and plates to eat them off. Why will I be contributing? Have you ever asked yourself what you have got from the boat centre. For me personally I have a husband and son, some great friends and 15 years worth of happy memories so it feels only right that I give something back now when the club house dream has been made into reality through the passions of some of the other long standing members. Maybe you have had your first opportunity to enjoy water sports, Memories of paddling down one of the most beautiful stretches of river in the world. An introduction to new friends The chance for international and national travel The excitement of competition The opportunity to represent your country through paddle sport School camping trips Or just messing about in boats

With an opportunity to give something back, how much should you give?

It matters little, whatever you feel is appropriate based on whatever criteria you feel is right. Anything from a teaspoon to a dishwasher or table is going to be gratefully received. Every little helps to build a home that can be appreciated by everyone today and those in the future.
